50 Fun Things To Do
On An Exam That Doesn't Matter
1.
Bring a pillow. Fall asleep (or pretend to) until the last 15 minutes. Wake up, say "oh geez, better get cracking" and do some gibberish work. Turn it in a few minutes early.
2.
Get a copy of the exam, run out screaming "Andre, Andre, I've got the secret documents!!"
3.
If it is a math/science exam, answer in essay form. If it is long answer/essay form, answer with numbers and symbols. Be creative. Use the integral symbol.
4.
Make paper airplanes out of the exam. Aim them at the instructor's left nostril.
5.
Talk the entire way through the exam. Read questions aloud, debate your answers with yourself out loud. If asked to stop, yell out, "I'm SOOO sure you can hear me thinking." Then start talking about what a jerk the instructor is.
6.
Bring cheerleaders.
7.
Walk in, get the exam, sit down. About five minutes into it, loudly say to the instructor, "I don't understand ANY of this. I've been to every lecture all semester long! What's the deal? And who in the world are you? Where's the regular guy?"
8.
Bring a Game Boy (or Game Gear, etc...). Play with the volume at max level.
9.
On the answer sheet (book, whatever) find a new, interesting way to refuse to answer every question. For example: I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it conflicts with my religious beliefs. Be creative.
10.
Bring pets.
11.
Run into the exam room looking about frantically. Breathe a sigh of relief. Go to the instructor, say "They've found me, I have to leave the country" and run off.
12.
Fifteen minutes into the exam, stand up, rip up all the papers into very small pieces, throw them into the air and yell out "Merry Christmas." If you're really daring, ask for another copy of the exam. Say you lost the first one. Repeat this process every fifteen minutes.
13.
Do the exam with crayons, paint, or fluorescent markers.
14.
Come into the exam wearing slippers, a bathrobe, a towel on your head, and nothing else.
15.
Come down with a BAD case of Tourette's Syndrome during the exam. Be as vulgar as possible.
16.
Do the entire exam in another language. If you don't know one, make one up! For math/science exams, try using Roman numerals.
17.
Bring things to throw at the instructor when s/he's not looking. Blame it on the person nearest to you.
18.
As soon as the instructor hands you the exam, eat it.
19.
Walk into the exam with an entourage. Claim you are going to be taping your next video during the exam. Try to get the instructor to let them stay, be persuasive. Tell the instructor to expect a percentage of the profits if they are allowed to stay.
20.
Every five minutes, stand up, collect all your things, move to another seat, continue with the exam.
21.
Turn in the exam approximately 30 minutes into it. As you walk out, start commenting on how easy it was.
22.
Do the entire exam as if it was multiple choice and true/false. If it is a multiple choice exam, spell out interesting things (DCCAB. BABE. etc..).
23.
Bring a black marker. Return the exam with all questions and answers completely blacked out.
24.
Get the exam. Twenty minutes into it, throw your papers down violently, scream out "Darn this!" and walk out triumphantly.
25.
Arrange a protest before the exam starts (i.e. Threaten the instructor that whether or not everyone's done, they are all leaving after one hour to go drink)
26.
Show up completely drunk. (Completely drunk means at some point during the exam, you should start crying for mommy).
27.
Every now and then, clap twice rapidly. If the instructor asks why, tell him/her in a very derogatory tone, "the light bulb that goes on above my head when I get an idea is hooked up to a clapper. DUH!"
28.
Comment on how sexy the instructor is looking that day.
29.
Come to the exam wearing a black cloak. After about 30 minutes, put on a white mask and start yelling "I'm here, the phantom of the opera" until they drag you away.
30.
Go to an exam for a class you have no clue about, where you know the class is very small, and the instructor would recognize you if you belonged. Claim that you have been to every lecture. Fight for your right to take the exam.
31.
Upon receiving the exam, look it over, while laughing loudly, say "you don't really expect me to waste my time on this drivel? Days of our Lives is on!!!"
32.
Bring a water pistol with you. Nuff said.

34.
Start a brawl in the middle of the exam.
35.

36.

37.
Bring a friend to give you a back massage the entire way through the exam. Insist this person is needed, because you have bad circulation.
38.

39.
When you walk in, complain about the heat. Strip.
40.
After you get the exam, call the instructor over, point to any question, ask for the answer. Try to work it out of him/her.

Collect potatoes. Paint faces on them and give them names. Name one after your roommate. Separate your roommate's potato from the others. Wait a few days, and then bake your roommate's potato and eat it. Explain to your roommate, "He just didn't belong."
36.
Fill an empty shaving cream can with whipped cream. Use it to shave, and then spray some into your mouth. Later on, complain that you feel sick. Continue this process for several weeks.
37.
Cover your bed with a tent. Live inside it for a week. If your roommate asks, explain that "It's a jungle out there." Get your roommate to bring you food and water.
38.
Keep a vacuum cleaner in the middle of the room. Look at it with fear for a few days. Then stay out of the room entirely, opening the door only a crack and whispering to your roommate, "Psst! Is it gone?"
39.
Break the window with a rock. If your roommate protests, explain that you were hot. Open and close the broken window as you normally would.
40.
Throw darts at a bare wall. All of a sudden, act excited, telling your roommate that you hit the bull's eye.
41.
Send flowers to your roommate, with a card that says, "I'm sorry. It won't happen again." When you see them, start ripping up the flowers. Repeat the process for a few weeks.
42.
Call your roommate "Clyde" by accident. Start doing so every so often. Increase the frequency over the next few weeks, until you are calling him "Clyde" all the time. If your roommate protests, say, "I'm sorry. I won't do that anymore, Murray."
43.
Hire a night watchman to guard the room while you are sleeping.
44.
Move everything to one side of the room. Ask your roommate if he knows how much an elephant weighs, and look at the floor on the empty side of the room with concern.
45.
Practice needlepoint every night. At one point, grab your thumb and scream, "Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!" Cry hysterically for a few minutes, and then go to bed. Sob and sniff all night.
46.
When your roommate comes in, pretend that you are on the phone, screaming angrily and shouting obscenities. After you hang up, say, "That was your mum. She said she'd call back."
47.
Every time your roommate comes in, immediately turn off the lights and go to bed. When he/she leaves, get up and loudly yell, "Okay, guys, you can come out now."
48.
Sit in front of a chess board for hours, saying nothing, doing nothing. Then, look up and say, "I think this game goes a lot faster with two players."
49.
Start wearing a crown, all the time. If your roommate tells you to take it off, say, "What the hell do you think you are? A king?"
50.
Talk back to your "Rice Krispies." All of a sudden, act offended, throw the bowl on the floor and kick it. Refuse to clean it up, explaining, "No, I want to watch them suffer."

Title: 8 Ezine Advertising Mistakes To Avoid
Author: Deanna Mascle
Article:
These are several important lessons I've learned regarding Ezine
Advertising and Marketing Success. Here are eight mistakes you
should avoid:
Mistake No. 1 -- Not focusing
A common mistake many advertisers make is to attempt to do too
much, or rather sell too much, in one ad. Sure you have lots of
great products but you can't sell them all in a few lines-at
least not individually. Instead focus on the benefit your
customer can achieve from all your products and promote that!
People are much more likely to click on a link that BENEFITS
them than a link that promises to sell them something.
More importantly, tell the customer "what your product or
service is going to do for him."
It is important that you identify your Unique Selling
Proposition before you begin your advertising program. This will
determine which Ezines (or markets) you target as well as what
you should include in your ad copy. Who will be interested in
your product and why? What benefits does your product offer them?
Mistake No. 2 -- Going for the hard sale
Don't go for the sale in your ad! You are at a disadvantage
because you can't list all your products' wonderful benefits in
the space allowed. Also, there is only a small percentage of any
Ezine audience that is ready to buy your product at the exact
moment they view your ad. Yes, maybe they should be, but most
people today live in the moment and if this isn't the time they
want to buy then they aren't going to buy, end of story.
But it doesn't have to be the end of the story. If you go for
the soft sell approach your target consumer is much more likely
to click on your link and then you've got the chance to go for
the hard sell-again and again!
Here's an example. I'm selling a product called the Preschool
Prep Power Pack. It's an educational CD for preschoolers. Now I
could go for the hard sell in my promotion and I would make some
sales but a lot of people who really might be interested won't
even look at my site and product. However, I've chose to go the
soft sell approach. Instead of selling my product in my ads, my
ads offer two FREE items. I offer a free newsletter
(Preschoolers Learn More) offering tips about preparing
preschoolers for kindergarten. This is my target market for my
product. The folks who subscribe also receive a free ABC-123
coloring book. Why wouldn't the parent of a preschooler
subscribe, right?
But what's in it for me as a business person? A lot! Think about
it. I now have the freely offered contact information for my
target market. Now I can regularly email them information about
my product. I'm confident they will buy eventually because my
product provides a solution to something that concerns them-or
they wouldn't have subscribed in the first place!
Mistake No. 3 -- Letting the clock run out
Another common mistake is not giving your ad campaign enough
time to work.
Studies show it takes prospects an average of seven exposures to
your promotion before they take the bait. Even after they have
clicked through to your site visitors may need to visit your
site as many as three times before they buy from you. So make
sure you keep that offer in front of them. That means it may
well pay to take the long-term package versus a one-shot ad.
People run through their emails rapidly and delete things they
wish they hadn't. Make their wish come true! Give them a second,
third, fourth chance. The formula is--when you're sick and tired
of it, the public is just beginning to hear it.
Mistake No. 4 -- Cramming the ad space
Just because you've bought ad space doesn't mean you have to
utilize every pixel or character-space. Short, punchy lines that
do not use up every available space are more effective. Think
about the reader scanning down the page or screen. What will
catch their eye and make them stop scanning and actually read?
White space is your friend so don't squander it. Use it to set
off your important message.
Make sure you apply the same principal to your urls and e-mail
addresses as well. Nothing can make an ad look more cluttered
than giant web addresses with a complicated string of numbers
and letters. If you have to use an address like that (perhaps
for your affiliate code, for example) then it might be wise to
use a redirect.
QUICK NOTE
How to Use Ezine Articles to Promote ANY Product, Service Or Affiliate Program You Choose in 5 Easy Steps:
In a nutshell, it works like this...
* You write an article using the process I'm going to explain below. There are only five easy steps to the process. I'll explain them below. The idea is to write an article that relates to any product, service, list or site you want to promote. You provide the reader with useful information ... usually 500-700 words. That's not much to put together, even if you think "I'm not a writer." I'll show you how below.
* You create a "resource box" that points towards your site or list. A "resource box" is a simple 4-6 line "blurb" about YOU as the author. You can use it to mention briefly about what you do and you can point the reader of the article to any website or email address of your choosing. This is where folks can contact you for more information, take a look at the products you sell or join a list that you offer. Where you direct them to is completely up to you.
* You send that article out to newsletter publishers for consideration. Whether you use a software program that does it for you, or contact a targeted list of publishers that accept article submissions, or submit your article to one or more of the 70+ article directories (free of charge), you get YOUR article into the hands of those that control the lists related to the topic of your article.
* You generate traffic, subscribers and sales as they publish your article to their lists. When the interested publishers decide to print your article in their newsletter, you're in business. This, *literally* happens every day. It's a standard thing that many publishers do ... they don't have time to write articles all the time, so they find quality offerings from others and send it out to their subscribers. Some newsletter lists have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. And YOUR article would be the "center of attention" for the particular issue it was published in. Traffic will follow.
END OF QUICK NOTE
Mistake No. 5 -- Not using your head
Your headline is the most important part of your ad. This is
usually the line that determines whether the skimming reader
will stop or skip ahead.
Some of the proven headline formulas include:
1. Ask the reader a question: "Are you worried about filing your
tax return this year?"
2. Tell the reader how to do something: "How to buy a car
without getting a lemon."
3. Provide a testimonial: "Big Al saved me $200 last month.
Thanks, Cindy Lou from Paducah, Kentucky."
4. Make a command. Turn your most important benefit into a
commanding headline. "Stop rushing through life." "Make more
money this month." "Feel better about yourself."
5. Important news makes a good headline. "Max Electronics just
went international!"v 6. Start the clock: "Buyers who act before
midnight Tuesday will save an extra $50!"
7. Give the reader something free: "Free whatsit for the first
100 visitors!"
Mistake No. 6 -- Not telling them what to do
It sounds almost ridiculous, but simply giving clear, specific
directions about what you want the reader to do can increase the
response to your ads.

Mistake No. 7 -- Blowing your budget
One of the most difficult things to decide for any business
person is how much money to spend on promotion. There really is
one simple way to determine the answer. How much is a customer
worth to you? That tells you a great deal about how much you can
afford to spend on advertising.
The simple formula to calculate the net worth of a visitor is:
Net Profit divided by Conversion Rate.
First, what is your net profit on an average sale? Let's say $10
to make it easy. (Hey, I'm an English professor, I need to keep
it simple!)
Then consider what your conversion rate is for visitors to
become customers. Let's say one visitor out of 50 becomes a
customer. (This makes your conversion rate 50 as you need 50
customers to make a sale)
With this example, a visitor is worth $0.50 to you. ($10 divided
by 50)
So if you spend $100 on an advertising campaign that draws in
1000 visitors then you made $400 on that campaign.
Mistake No. 8 -- Setting unrealistic goals
This issue is really about control. Yes, if you could control
things that you would have a high sell through but that isn't
always going to happen. In fact, for most advertisers that isn't
going to happen. However, if your goal is to capture customers
then you are much more likely to match your goal or even exceed
it. And in the end a customer is worth a lot more to you than a
sale because a customer can represent many sales over years to
come-sales that were fairly easy to achieve.
As frustrating as it may be, advertising is usually about
long-term versus short-term benefits. Your ad simply serves as a
lure to draw people into your site or long-term promotion. Once
you've pulled them in then you need to sell them. So it is not
really fair to judge an ad campaign on simple sales.
The success of an ad campaign should be measured by one or two
elements only-first, how many people followed up on your offer
(click-through rate) and second, how many of those visitors were
you able to convert into customers (conversion rate).
Over time you will be able to judge where the weak link in your
chain of customer creation exists and work to fix it.
Low click-through rate? Then it is probably your offer. You are
not giving readers enough incentive to follow through. What is
in it for them to click on your offer? Remember you are selling
benefits!
Low conversion rate? Then perhaps you are not attracting the
right sort of visitor. Target your incentive (the free offer,
for example) to match your target audience. See my example in
Mistake No. 2.

See my example in
Mistake No. 2.

See my example in
Mistake No. 2.

Title: 8 Ezine Advertising Mistakes To Avoid
Author: Deanna Mascle
Article:
These are several important lessons I've learned regarding Ezine
Advertising and Marketing Success. Here are eight mistakes you
should avoid:

A common mistake many advertisers make is to attempt to do too

Fort gates ferry and fish camp

The historic Fort Gates Ferry was established in 1856. The ferry originally carried troops over to Fort Gates which was used in the Civil War and the Seminole War. The fort was dismantled in 1938, but the ferry continues to operate.

The tugboat built of cypress in 1918 and a barge built 52 years ago carrys two vehicles across the St. John's River from the west bank of the river which is undeveloped land in the Ocala National Forest to Cresent City, Florida or vice versa. To the ferry dock on the west bank, its 6 miles of dirt road from SR 19. If a driver arrives at the west bank and needs the ferry, he signals the ferry operator by turning the headlights on. The ferry dock on the east bank is in the Gateway Fishing Camp, near SR 17 in Cresent City, Florida.

The one-way fare for a car is $9.00. It costs more for an RV and less for a motorcycle. The ferry's capacity is 30 feet or 13 tons. The ferry is the shortest route from highway 17 to highway 19. By ferry, its 1/2 mile to the other side of the river. By road, its 55 miles.
The ferry operates from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, every day but Tuesday. The weather plays a factor in the operation of the ferry. If the wind is too strong, the ferry does not operate for obvious safety reasons. It is wise to phone (904) 467-2411 to be sure that the ferry is operating since there is nothing on the west bank of the river except a few private homes whose owners are not affilliated with the ferry in any way.

Who does not like some extra cash in hand? What about when that ‘extra cash’ comes relatively easy, with the least of exertion? What about when that extra cash comes to you right in your home, without having you to move to any other place?
You guessed right! I am talking about home business. There are a great number of home businesses with the advent of the Internet. Many people are drawing a decent income from such endeavors. Each one of us is tempted to try out some of these offers, because they sound so easy and within our reach, that we feel we would miss out on a great opportunity if do not try it out. The temptation is even harder to fight when we are in dire need for cash.
I got hooked on the idea, when I had lost my job two years ago. I had more than 16 years’ seniority and never expected to get the axe. My heart was broken; but what hurt the most was that I had, all-of-a-sudden, to cut and curtail on each every expense. I was faced with an acute emotional and financial poverty.
It was at this time that, one day while idling over my computer, I clicked on a link – which I think mentioned cash from home – and I was hooked. At first I was overwhelmed at the variety and diversity of the Internet income opportunity. I found a multitude of offers ranging from data typing, to freelancing; from web designing to copy writing … to the one of the most lucrative options, paid surveys.
Taking paid surveys is an extremely convenient and easy way to earn cash online. I can see the interest growing in your eyes. What are online paid surveys, you will ask?
That is exactly what I was asking two years ago when I rediscovered the meaning of earning at my convenience! Let me start at the most important part. Money! How much can you make with online paid surveys? Will you believe when I tell you that you can make anything between $1 and $150 per survey?
They say that the difference between real and fiction is that fiction needs to make sense!! This is really applicable to making money with online surveys. It does not really make sense, but it is there life-size and true! But do not take my word for it. You go out there and just type ‘online paid surveys’ in the browser line and see what comes out of it. Try a few and just get the feel of it and see how easy is to fill in a survey.
The online surveys are just simple questionnaires which require certain information or opinions from you. These feedback are analyzed by the companies who send you the surveys and the information thus obtained go to form the future product strategy of that company, be it marketing, production, content, correction, etc.
The next logical question you would ask is why the companies would pay people to do surveys. Companies need access to information regarding the reaction of the public on the products they promote. In order to get this information they do extensive market research studies which are expensive and sometimes not reliable – when the data can be manufactured. Paid online surveys give these companies direct access to the public. The payment is calculated based on the importance of the product and the difficulty the company has to gain serious insights on it. Hence, online surveys are a healthy business proposition for the companies.
You could, as I could, build a good reliable source of income with online surveys. There are a few tips that you should keeping mind however, so you do not run into headaches.
Seek those companies that have a good feedback on the Internet; in order to find what others think of it, run a search on the name of the company asking for review or comments. Invariably, the net will throw up sufficient feedback for you to get a good idea about the company;
Remember – this type of work is just like any other work, even if it requires less mental and physical effort. Completing online surveys require patience and persistence if you want to earn a significant amount;
Another trick is to get your name enlisted in as many companies as possible. Logically speaking, even if you have only $5 surveys – which usually take anything between 20-25 minutes max (this also depends upon the speed of your browser) – and you have 4-5 per day, you could earn a very tidy sum;
I advice NOT to enlist in the survey databases who ask you a fee for membership. You can find the same market research companies for free. Why pay for the free information?
If you would like to try surveys, get paid for reading a few emails this is a great company to try

Remember – this type of work is just like any other work, even if it requires less mental and physical effort. Completing online surveys require patience and persistence if you want to earn a significant amount;
Another trick is to get your name enlisted in as many companies as possible. Logically speaking, even if you have only $5 surveys – which usually take anything between 20-25 minutes max (this also depends upon the speed of your browser) – and you have 4-5 per day, you could earn a very tidy sum;
I advice NOT to enlist in the survey databases who ask you a fee for membership. You can find the same market research companies for free. Why pay for the free information?
If you would like to try surveys, get paid for reading a few emails this is a great company to try

Blogs and adsense

If you have a blog, or are thinking about starting a blog, then you are definitely going to want to read this article. It’s all about how to line your pockets with money that’s just waiting to be made without working much harder than you already are.
No only are blogs the hottest thing on the ‘net right now, but they are custom-made for Google’s AdSense program. Why? It’s simple. Blogs represent constantly changing and fresh content to Google’s search engine spiders. Feeding fresh content to those little spiders is just like tossing raw meat to a tiger. They just gobble it up. The more pages of your blog that get indexed, the more traffic you get. And the more traffic you get, the more exposure your AdSense ads get. Are you beginning to see where I’m heading here?
It’s not just Google that loves new content, all of the major engines do. In fact, some web-savvy bloggers are testing Google ads on one page and Overture ads on the other. It doesn’t take too long to see which ads are doing the best when you have nearly side-by-side comparison statistics to look at. Just don’t make the mistake of putting Google and Overture ads on the same page together. While they won’t kill each other like a pair of Siamese fighting fish in the same bowel will, you will be violating both sites’ Terms of Service, and it isn’t worth killing the goose (geese) that laid the golden egg.
It’s a snap to set up Google AdSense ads on your blog. Everything you need to know is right inside of the Google control panel. What’s not so easy is figuring out what ads are going to appear on each page. Since Google targets your key words, and your blog articles could possible wander towards any subject, you never know what you’re going to get.
Well, “never” is a strong word because there actually IS a way to pre-test your blog’s ads before you post your newest edition. Here’s what you do:
• Write your blog article like you normally would
• Plug in your AdSense code and then post your newest page to a sub directory that’s not part of your blog.
• Click refresh a few times until Google wakes up and starts sending ads.
• If you don’t like what you see then fine-tune the article until you see the types of ads that you’re looking for.
With some ads paying as much as $5 per click or more, I’d certainly spend an extra 30 minutes or so tweaking my blog. That’s for sure.
If you’re working hard to get your blog in front of visiting eyeballs, then it doesn’t make any sense at NOT to be using Google AdSense to draw every penny out of your site that’s possible. OK, that’s the end of the article. Now get busy tweaking your blog and checking your ads. You’ve got money waiting to be made!
